Chris Ivany was born in the small town of Albert Bridge, Nova Scotia. He spent most of his childhood in a hockey rink, either playing or watching his two older brothers. Now into his 17th year of teaching, he continues to be an avid hockey fan and overall sports enthusiast. After playing competitive hockey until the age of 20, he moved on to coaching and reffing, then eventually on to Hong Kong to explore the world with his wife Hollie. After 8 years away from the game and the itch to be involved with hockey intensifying, Chris teamed up with his good friend Paul to talk hockey and stay in touch with the game he loves, and the podcast was born.
Paul MacLean was born on the better side of the rink in a town called Glace Bay. He moved to Hong Kong almost two decades ago; firstly as a Maths and Science teacher but has since moved on and has become a staple in the local music scene. He’s the owner and operator of Sunset Studio, an animal behind the drum kit and an all-around wizard in the studio. Paul brings his expertise to the production side of the show as well as contributing to the conversation and in charge of getting the better laughs.
